My xsara picasso's digital display keeps flashing, STOP Engine temperature even though the temperature gage is only halfway up, I have checked coolant level which is fine, im unsure whether it is my fan as I dont know what to look for? The engine does seem warm though. Any ideas?

hi leave your vehicle running until the temp guage goes to the middle then lift your bonnet and listen for your fan coming in, it only comes in for about 10 seconds, you will no then if it is working if light stays on take to the dealer ask them to do a full electrical check on your vehicle they then will be able to tell your exactly what the fault is,hope advise helps
