homelite chainsaw fuel lines replaced?

My homelite 45cc 18" chainsaw fuel lines, filter and primer bulb were replaced. After priming, the saw will run until the gas pumped in from the priming is gone; It will only stay cranked long enough to burn the gas from priming. Can anyone give me some advice on what to check?

try changing the priming bulb pipes over, as the priming bulb sucks fuel up the pipe that goes from tank to the carb then through the priming bulb back to tank in that direction.

If the main line is clear, you'll probably need to clean out the carburetor, which will likely require a diaphragm/gasket kit. Many sites carry them. You probably have a Walbro carburetor. Just google "Walbro carburetor kit".

I have replaced all the fuel lines (they were rotted out) and the prefilter; now it does start each time I prime it, But after priming gas has burned it dies. Its as if I can only get gas in the carb from priming but it will not flow otherwise.

sounds like one of the lines has a crack in it or has come off of the carb

check the main fuel line that runs from the tank to the carby and little filter inside carby could be blocked
