Water Tank not filling up?

I have Hotpoint CTD00 - it's drying the clothes but the water tank is always empty now. No water leaking out so worried where it's going

water keeps overflowing into water collection draw, then runs onto floor,. how can I stop this from happening

Right i figured this problem out

the area behind the condenser is clogged with wet fluff and that is blocking the water from being pumped to the water bottle

here is how i fixed mine and how you should fix yours

MAKE SURE THE MACHINE IS TURNED OFF AND UNPLUGGED!

1. open the bottom flap on your ctd00 (it may be the same for other similar models
2. release the 3 clips holding the condensing unit in place
3. take out the condensing unit and clean! remove all fluff and crap that you can
4. put your hand into the area that the condensing unit came from and reach all the way to the back!, feel about there will be water there if your bottle isn't filling up!
5. once you have found the channel (going from left to right) follow it to the sort of right hand side of the condensing unit area you will feel another channel under the one going from left to right this other channel is going front to back.
6. once you have located the channel running front to back clean out all the crap sitting in that channel(this is where the water is sucked out and pumped to the water bottle, once you have cleaned that area, put your unit back together and then that should hopefully sort the water bottle not filling up

i would also clean this area twice a month to stop future blockages and prevent this problem from occurring again

remember to clean the fluff filter in the inside of the drum after every use and also empty the water bottle after every use

We have the same problem and it is definitely not the intermediate tank as that does not fill up and when you pour water into it it is pumped out immediately. When I took the condenser out to check if that was clean, the water just poured out so I am guessing there is a drain hole to the intermediate tank that is blocked, but I just cannot locate it.

its going into an intermediate tank to the back and bottom left side of the dryer and not being pumped up into the pull out water tank on the front fascia. When the water level reaches a certain height in the intermediate tank a float switch will cut off the heating element and the "empty water" light on the front fascia will come on. Surprised it has not happened already? You need to to empty the intermediate water tank to get the float switch set again so that the heating element will work and the light goes out. If you do not know how to get into the intermediate tank put the machne on its left side and the water will slowly escape onto the floor. This is just a temp fix - the fault will not be cured - may be a pump failure in the intermediate tank.
