It helps a lot if you put the whole question as people can't see what you can see. (Like any previous questions.)
Making they assumption that someone has told you to "remove the power" before fiddling with anything electrical on a car, they mean disconnect the battery. Be aware that doing this often causes a loss of things like Radio Codes, ensure that you have any codes you need to hand before you disconnect the battery.
