1.2 Corsa SXi gear linkage!?

My daughters 1.2 Corsa SXi doesn't like going in to 1st or 2nd from stationary. Can you explain the proceedure of replacing the nylon/plastic bit built into the remote linkage between the gear stick & the gearbox please? My sons went on his 1.8 SRi a while back but a garage had to repair that in a hurry & my mechanical knowledge is from the 70's & 80's! Regards, Neil.

its the linkage at the gearbox end
vauxhall do a modified linkage for them
easy to fit you just have to mess about a bit lining it up

could possibly just need adjusting,if bush is worn lever will be sloppy.
