Hotpoint Ultioma WDM73 ripping/snagging clothes?

Hi,

I have had my Hotpoint WDM73 a couple of years now but have noticed recently that when I remove my clothes some of them are coming out ripped. I have checked inside the washer to make sure it isn't a bra wire or anything and hubby has had the back off but we can't find anything wrong.

Does anyone have any ideas what could be causing it and what to do to resolve it.

Cheers

its the machine itself thats doing it, ripping clothes to shreds and Hotpoint have said its not their problem but an electrical fault due to bad design. What a bl**dy joke. Hotpoint can s*d off.!!

Check the space between the stainless steel drum and the outer drum. Sounds like a bra wire intermittently poking thru the drum holes. disconnect the sump hose (the big one which connects to the filter or pump) from bottom of drum and try to wiggle the item out. If that doesnt work you'll have to disconnect and remove the heater which should give another vantage point. Use a torch and a long thin stick to move the item to the sump outlet.
