my mx-5 squeals !!?

Especially if the blowers are on. And now my battery is flat. Is it the alternator, and if so, any ideas on cost to buy/repair ?

I think you may only have a slack belt,have a garage check the belt tension before you even think about a new alternator if re-tensioning the belt doesn't cure it have them check the alternator,Don't go buying a new alternator,it sounds like a minor adjustment.
