renault master immobiliser?

Can anyone tell me how to bypass the immobiliser on my 2001, 2.8dti Master. Was a bit intermitant at first, then wouldnt switch off at all (couldnt start the engine). I took the battery out of the key and tried the spare key, all was fine then 4weeks later, the same again...
I just want to remove/bypass it all together....
Any help / advice is much apprieciated

got the same thing, saw a site that had a solution of moving the chip sensor in the barrel lock up by a mm or two ... look at http://ifixedit.com/ might try this myself and post back if it works.

Just had my Master 03 off the road for 6 weeks with same problem. After a lot of blind alleys it proved to be broken chips in both keys. New keys have to be ordered from France which took about two weeks. All ok now. It seems a fairly common problem with Masters of this age. I've been told that it is not possible to bypass the immobiliser on these vehicles by several different mechanics.

Hi Wayne, I had the same problem on my 2001 2.2 master. What fixed it in the end was buying a new transponder key from a Renault dealer. It doesn't have the central locking button but is a cheap fix at £22.15.

Yeah, £140ish inc Vat was what I was quoted for a new working key from Renault.....
Would really like to bypass it altogether and fit my own but after talking to a few people, a new key is the easiest way apparently....
Thanks for the reply.....

Hi there the cheapest way is to buy anew plip key and get it programed to the vehicle ,it could cost upto £140.
