ahuh is right, but I've also been told by a mechanic a dodge is to take out the airfilter cartridge, replace the filter can lid and drive around in the car for about half hour before taking it in. With the airfilter out it takes in more air so pushes out a lower count on the exhaust emmisions. Unless of course the engine is well knackered then it wont make the slighest bit of difference, especially if the emmision count is high. If it passes then get new airfilter cartridge and put it in.

anyway try a service. ie: new plugs filter oil ect.
