My blind has two cords-one is a chain which slides open from the center revealing the window . The other is a string adjusting the slats left or right for sun light. One slat no longer moves as all the others function fine . Can you explain how to repair this problem ?

Try pulling the chain as far as it will go one way, then pull again in the opposite direction and this hopefully should cure it.
