hotpoint double oven fan assisted?

my main bottom oven just heats up o full no matter how low i put setting so food is burnt ect.
any ideas on how o solve his?

Sounds like the thermostat is faulty (it is the control that the dial is connected to) and the copper pipe attached to it runs around the inside of the cooker cabinet entering the oven at the rear. If this part of the oven is fan assisted the file (the bulbous bit that measures the temperature) will be at the rear of the oven behind the inner rear lining which covers the element and the fan. There are four screws securing this lining to the back of the oven ‘one in each corner’. The file is held in place by two small brackets. You will need to access the control panel by pulling the oven out and removing the protective covering from over the controls, also remove the side panelling. It may seem easier to get the control out by cutting the copper pipe but if you do be certain you cut the correct one.
