back end low?

hi all i have a ford courier van diesel 1998 and the rear is very low. i have replaced the shockers. there is no springs that i can see and i was told that it is a torsion bar setup. can anyone help me on this please.

hi my megane is low at the driver side i have changed the shocks but still the same what can it be its a renault megane 1.4 petrol on a y plate

yes there are 2 per side but only the 2 to outer arms are usually disturbed. when i have changed bushes i did one side at a time then could use other undisturbed arm as a setting!. will probably be a case of trial and error-there is no master spline,

is there a certain way to re position the torsion bar i think there is 2 but could be mistaken.

if not snapped it will be torsion bars that have been removed to replace rear suspension bushes and put back in wrong position! you could try jacking up van till little or no weight on rear susp [you will need shocks off or disconnected] in end of torsion bar is i think a 10mm or 12mm thread to which you could attach a slide hammer to pull out bar then you could re-position it. they are very tight you may end up taking axle out to cure your problem! awful job [speaking from experience takes, a good day to replace bushes].
