if you remove the cowling around the switch & stalks first, then you should see a small hole insteering lock body in line with steering column area. So if it is possible to insert the part of key you have & if lock can be turned into 1st or 2nd position of lock, while inserting a thin rod into hole in steering lock, to locate with spring loaded latch which operates lock for steering. This will when pushed with rod allow the barrel to be removed while wiigling key in one or to positions. If key cannot be turned, then you may have to have steering lock removed, which can be a pain because the bolt securing it to the column, is a shear off type & will not have a head to undo. This will need to be drilled out. Hope this is of help.
