I have green mould in my steam iron reservoir how do I get rid?

Reservoir looks like an uncleaned fish bowl,how do I clean it with out it affecting the clothes?

Find a Home Brew shop and buy some Combined Sterilizer & Cleaner put a bit in fill with water and let it stand a while and rinse thoroughly,do your tea cups and glasses while your on,super clean and super slippy as well mind.
