how can i fix my ford radio?

i have a 1991 ford mustang convertable and the radio doesn't work. the person i bought it from said their was only a certain piece missing and otherwise it worked.

Did they tell what was missing?
If they didn't and don't if you ask again what's missing then I think you've been conned and will have to change the radio.
I hope it's not one with a removable front panel because I don't think they are replaceable.
