my oven wont stay alight on my gas cooker but the grill does?

my cooker is indesit make the oven and grill light from the same control, however the oven lights then goes out when i let go of the control how can i fix this?

Sounds like the oven has a t/couple instead of an FSD.The t/couple needs replacing.
