nissan almera diesel running problem?

03 almera tino 2.2 diesel turbo starts every time misses and smells of exhaust or burnt fuel replaced mafs but no difference any ideas

is this just when its cold,if it is it wont be lambda they dont come into play for about 20 secs or the engine warms up...
