loss of power?

Hi
I've got a Nissan primera 1.8 (53 plate) and a couple of months ago I noticed that when indicating (especially left) i was loosing power. Now I have an intermittent fault where I seem to loose most of my power so it takes forever to get up to a decent speed and won't go above 60mph. Sometimes braking or turning the right indicator on solves it. It seems to be worse in damp conditions. I do alot of motoway driving so can't be putting up with this all winter - any ideas?

Hi

Just thought I'd update in case anyone else has this problem. I called the AA and luckily got a guy who'd been a mechanic for 30 years and had seen everything! It turned out to be a corroded connection in the back braked lights. He scrapped out the rust secured the connection and sprayed WD40 on it and it worked a treat. The car hasn't ran as smooth in months!

a poor electrical connection can cause all sorts of wierd problems quite often its a poor earth connection. usually things only get worse so getting it sorted would be better than waiting for hours in the cold for a recovery truck
