I have 1GB Pendrive but it cannot copy beyond 500MB?

I have a 1GB pendrive but when I copy data,it takes only upto 500MB and shows error that drive has no space.

The 2 causes of this are faulty electronics or the bios has been "adjusted" to read a higher value than it is physically. If this a reputable company it's probably the first otherwise I'm afraid you are victim of a con.
