Light on dashboard (Daewoo Matiz)?

Can anyone tell me why a light showing a little engine is showing on my dashboard. My car is running perfectly otherwise.

this is to indicate a current or recent fault with the engine management contact a garage that is able to carry out a diagnostic check to find the fault. do not ignore this as it could cause more damage to the engine which would be more costly
