i use bold soap powder and comfort fabric conditioner in my machine my clothes usually smell beautiful now it does not matter what program i have it on my clothes are stinking why?the engineer says my machine is fine the plumber says my pipes are fine

Check the house drains - remove the w/m and take the drain hose out of the pipe it's hooked into. Have a good sniff.

When we had this problem it smelt like the washing machine but foul water was collecting in the drains and backing up because of a partial blockage.

The solution was to lift the cover of the inspection pit in the garden and cear the blockage - 10 mins work. A job usually reserved for the man of the house.

Perhaps try a better antiperspirant or throw the machine away because dead ants might be inside it or worse a rat. Perhaps the heater on the machine isnt working so its only washing smelly socks , sweaty clothes in cold water.
Or check someone in your house is not swapping the fabric conditioner for something more sinister. You can check this by hiding in the pot and pan cupboard until the culprit arrives and you can catch them in the act. Or if you dont have much spare time take the new softner and washing powder with you wherever you go.
