how do i know my wheel bearing has gone vauxhall corsa?

how will i know if it is my rear wheel bearing has gone on my vauxhall corsa?
jack slack, November 2008
It makes a deep vibrational noise with a sort of wowowowowowo tone and usually comes in over 30 or so mph. You can also jack the wheel up and try to wobble it for play by putting your hand on top and bottom of tyre (don't rock too hard or you can bring it off the jack). Generally play from top to bottom can indicate wheel bearing wear.

because if the wheel had been removed and if in the centre of the hub where the wheel goes there is a hole where the bearing should be , then you will know the bearing has gone

I've not come across anyone stealing wheel bearings before tho as it would make a lot of noise i would presume and wheel bearings are only about 12£ for this car
