What's causing the problem with my Hotpoint CTD40 tumble-dryer?

The empty water light is constantly flashing although the water tank has been emptied, this in turn causes the dryer to only work for a minute at a time before stopping. All filters have been cleaned, could it be water pump problem?

Hi ive got the same dryer and ive had the same fault.
and i have fixed it.
behind the condensor is a little reservoir with a hole int bottomand this had become blocked with fluff its a easy fix and the easiest way i found was to remove the top of the machine 2 screws to the rear and the top should just slide backwards this the reveals a screw on the top right which will unscrew the side there is also 5 screws to the rear down the right hand side remove these screws and the side should pop out at the top and just slide back and up this will expose the chamber of the condensor make sure the condensor unit is removed and just behind where the condensor lives is the said reservoir and the hole should at the back of that. really hope this helps
