i think i have found the fault on my scenic it wont start i tried bumping, it still wont start i lifted bonnet and checked battery this is ok ,then i followed battery cable down to starter motor there i found a problem the connecter thats bolted on to the starter motor has snapped on the kneck of connecter could this be the problem why it wont start or is my starter motor u.s

You should NOT bump start this diesel engine- it will not start this way and it will f**k up the diesel pump.

However the snapped feed cable to starter motor will be the obvious thing to rectify. Try and hold it on the connector and get someone to try and start it while you lay under holding the wire on the connector. Just make sure the helper does not start it in gear otherwise you could be squashed LOL
