Tricity Bendix Ceramic Hob Cooker?

How do I remove the ceramic hob on a Tricity Bendix SIE531TCGR to replace one of the elements ?

Thanks

I followed the instruction supplied by pete nash and completed the operation succesfully however the connections to the new element were different from the old one which I removed. It is neccesary to examine the ceremic insulater where you will find two sets of numbers these are 1a, & 1b, 2a & 2b. you then examine the new element where you will find the same set of numbers.transfer the wires from the old to the new onto the corresponding numbers otherwise things will not work as they should.

Turn power off and disconnect cooker. Remove screws from side panels at rear. Snap out 30mm cover strips at front of side. Remove screws from brown cover strip underneath white clip on piece. Remove strips. Lift side panels off locating tabs and remove. Undo 2 PK screws each side to allow front panel to slide forward on a rail. Undo 2 PK screws each side holding tabs for hob. Hob will now hinge upwards from rear. Make sure power is off before lifting hob. Use a piece of broom handle or batten about 650mm long to prop up the raised hob.
Mark the faulty hob with marker pen as it will not be obvious it is faulty when taken out. Make a sketch of all cable locations and colours before removing. Prise cables off connectors with a flat bladed screwdriver. Loosen the two screws holding the spring clip and remove one screw entirely. Remove screw from end of cross rail nearest the element you are to remove. With help pull the spring clip out of its locating hole in the element at both ends. Remove element.
Replacement is the exact opposite of removal. It is advisable to test the new element before replacing the panel screws but make sure the hob is down before reconnecting power. Also ensure that no bare connections can come into contact with the metal parts of the cooker.
The final 30mm white cover strips simply snap onto three tabs, top, centre and bottom.

take the side panels off and then remove four screws that hold the hob onto the cooker frame.two or three screws on back corner edges to remove.front corner edges have a cover strip.prise the cover strip off and you will find three screws on both sides.remove these and now with care the side panels can be removed.
