Hi I have just installed a w reg engine in a K reg transit. i have finally got it working (after forgeting to plug the heater solenoid in!!) It started rough so I put injector cleaner in the fuel filter. Now it idles really nice and as far as i can tell it pulls away nicely, but!, my mate reckons it is under powered. He found a diesel leak on the fuel filter. It wasn't on proparly would this affect the power or not? regards Simon

It may do think the fuel system through the filter is pressurised so the fuel leak may have reduced the pressure and therefore at the injectors to, not so noticable at tickover but as you rev it high may reduce the pressure a little. one i worked on the filter was tight under the bonnet top right hand side with pressure connectors on the filter so was under pressure in the system.
