How do you pop out the bearing in the 3 piece crank

Ignore my previous post. I was talking about a different piece of equipment, sorry.

Remove the bearing cap. Then tap the edge of the bearing shell with a suitable drift and it will swivel round so that you can get your fingers (or pliers) on the other end of the half circle to pull it round and out. Care though, it will only come out one way, tap the plain end, not the end with the wedges, else you'll just drive it in tighter and damage it.
