fridge part eventually stops working but freezer is ok. If you switch it off and leave for a couple of days, then swith it on it works fine. Over the course of two to three weeks the fridge stops working again and that alarm starts beeping. Anybody got any ideas?

Simpler method is remove all food from freezer and fridge and allow to defrost - than start back up - presto...working fine.

It's the pipe that allows air into the fridge to circulate; is frozen. You can tell its this as the fans dont work when the fridge door is first closed.

I have the same problem, and it will keep happening - dont know a long term fix - maybe some else can help?

defrost heater faulty or sensor faulty.you have to remove the whole inside of freezer to get to the parts.not that easy to do as a diy job but costs around £70 to £100 fitted.may be different price where you are but its a guide.
