Does anyone have any idea why the soap dispenser drawer is not opening during the wash cycle in my indesit. The dishwasher tablet is not dispersing and so not washing properly?

This has only just started happening!!!!

just had a problem with our DI 62 dishwasher and after a few engineers called we finally got it sorted. Our problem was that the soap dispense drawer was heard to open but did not dispense the tablet. When the door was opened the drawer popped open and either the tablet was left in the holder or just dropped in the bottom of the appliance. Fix was to cut away some of the top basket that is in front of the drawer. The basket was preventing the drawer from opening it seems like a design fault on the appliance. Once the two bars were removed the unit is working fine now. Thanks to a British Gas Household Appliance Homecasre Engineer for fixing it.
