Peugeot 206 Hdi Year 2003?

I have changed timimng belt and also had battery disconnected for around 3 months as this is a project car.
I have come to start it and it will only just about tick over (Very roughly) and will not rev up at all.

yes timimng marks were spot on! would it still run if the timing was out though?

Did you get the timing marks spot on. Sounds as if the timing belt could be a notch or two out.
