we have a ford transit 2.4 durotec diesel,we are trying to set up the accurate valve timing .we have sent for the correct crankshaft pin ,but have concerns because there are several holes it can fit in .are there any marks or anything i should be looking for thanks paul

sounds like you might have the wrong pin. is it common rail, or normal injection? the pins are different on the two engines. the common rail pin has a pimple on the end, it will fit in all holes on flywheel, but on one it goes deeper to accomadate the pimple, can be a bit awkward to find the right hole. the normal injection engine has a straight pin and will fit in in only one hole.
