How can I fix the belt on my zanussiu tumble dryer TC 482W?

What type of belt do I need for a zanussi tumble dryer TC 482W. Is it a 1975H? And how do I fit it? The last belt was very tight and didn't last very long. Do you have a picture or set of instructions I can follow?

Hi Sharon, unless you are an experianced engineer you cant as it is a total drum out strip down job, in my shop I charge about £25 + the price of the belt but an engineer will probably charge more to come to you.

Hi Sharon,

We had the same problem with our Zanussi Tumble Dryer 470, we bought a a new belt (1975H) and fitted it, grooves onto shaft and drum around jockey pulley although it has since come off due to too much tension - I think this is because we relocated the tension spring to the other side as there was too little tension. After speaking to an engineer it seems there is only one side for the tension spring and we are about to play with the motors positioning. Will let you know if it works, if you manage to find any diagrams/instructions could you be so kind to email them?

Regards
