Chainsaws?

I have a Sears Craftsman 18" chain saw which starts up but when I pull the trigger for giving it gas the bade will not move. The chain saw is about 5 years old. I just replaced the blade and it cut fine for about five minutes then it stopped moving. Any suggestions? Thank you

Very unlikely- considering it's a new chain. My moneys still on the fact the owner has fitted the wrong size chain.

sounds like, tension/lube problems, blade could be too tight, and not recieving lube, try 2 make the blade as tight as you can then slack it a tiny bit, so theirs a little bit of slide between the blade and the blade bar. try spraying the blade with WD-40 before you start, old componets might be poorly lubed, due to time spent unused... i hope this helps

Is the chainbrake on? Or as it's a new chain have you got the correct size chain ie is the drive link too thick for your bar, so it has jammed in the bar when it has heated up
