I thought I'd post a question before I called someone to look at my washer to see if there is anything else I can check.

My indesit washer will not turn at all, i had a load of towels in it and thought it might have been the weight so I have tried it empty.

Even on the wash part of the cycle it will not spin or even turn, it fills with water and pumps out ok but the drum does not budge an inch.

Also if you have the door open and then turn the power on it will start to fill and once you've closed it the door will not reopen until the end of a wash.

The washer is making noise as if it is spinning, not as loud as normal but it is doing something and the dial is clicking round.

It's done this before but I switched it off at the power and left it for a bit and then it magically worked again. I've checked the belt is in place but is there anything else I can get hubby to look at before I call a repair man?

tell him to check the spin module. As you look at the machine from the rear it is situated at the bottom left hand side of the machine held in place with two screws. remove the two multi plugs from the board and inspect, chances are one of the tracks has lifted or blown
