Is it possible for the fan to go the wrong way?

My plinth heater seems to be blowing the wrong way as there is now only slight air flow and more air comes out of the back of the unit. There is no blockages as I have check for this. Is it possible for the fan to be going in reverse? Its a Smiths Type SS2 MK 3.

If it is a 240volt mains electric fan it cannot go backwards. Can you take it out and then run it 'on the bench' so you can see and feel what is happening? Check all grilles particularly at the back because being low down these fans pick up a lot of dust and muck.
