engine management light?

i have a ford galaxy turbo diesel and the ford engine management light keeps flashing on and of what could be the problem many thanks

It could be any of a dozen sensors or valves not working correctly!! you will have to get it connected to a diagnostic code reader to find the cause of the light comming on, most good independant garages and tyre & exhaust places will do it for around £30, Fords charge £120+vat!!
