how do you fix an air lock in the heater on a rover 400?

drained off the coolent on my rover 400 then topped it up with new. now the heater wont work

check for air bleed srews at the back of the engine on the coolant pipes crack off then run engine at 2500 revs (with heater on hot)to push air out then retighten srews and top up coolant
