the pilot light has gone out and will not re ignite although I can hear the boiler running, is it possible to relight with a naked flame

The relays on these ignition control printed circuit boards are prone to sticking ,give them a tap with a wooden spoon or replace the pcb (about £120)

These dont have a pilot light its all automatic so no you cant light it with a naked flame.PCB or pressure switch fault possibly.
