I want to fix a sealant cauking strip to the edge of the bath and the tiles wall;
1 do I need to use sealant as well there is only fixing strip on the top half of the strip.
2 Where the tiles meet it leaves a gap behind the cauking strip how is this filled?
Frankly, I wouldn't bother using a seal strip as they are ugly, attract dirt and not very successful. There is nothing better than a neat bead of silicone (providing the gap isn't too large)

use double sided tape about 1mm and then seal the out side edge with silicone the same colour
