how can i fix an indicator fault on a modeo?

Hi, was replacing the headlight bulb on my v reg mondeo zetec (facelift model) when i accidentally tugged out the cable that gives power to the indicator. The bulb got dropped into the headlight chamber and attached to the back of the bulb was a 1 inch long thin piece of metal with grooves in that for the life of me I couldn't figure out where to put back. I have since lost this little piece of metal and wonder if anyone knows what part it's from, what it's called and where do I put it? The indicator fault warning is now on and the front indicator no longer works Thanks

hi alex the little piece of metal fits in a little slot on the back side of the indicator to keep it in place i hope that this has helped you. good luck malcolm.
