Electrolux 212 gas problem?

Hello. I am new to one of these fridges. I bought a camper with this one fitted. Can someone give me some info on using the gas. The fridge works fine on 240vlt. but when I light the gas it fires up and I can adjust the flame However after running it for more than 2 hours the fridge does not cool down. does the electric control be need to set in any special position etc. Or can anyone email me instructions. Any help would be much appreciated

When you run the fridge on gas make sure the 240v is turned off. These fridges take a long time to start. Within 2 hours you should be able to feel the pipework on the back heating up and by three hours you should have some cooling inside although you should allow up to eight hours before it reaches its lowest temperature.
If it doesn't happen like this you may have a partial blockage in the gas delivery system which would need to then be serviced.

it may be the pilet light blocked you will get gas come through but not at a enough pressure to cool the heat exchanger

When running on GAS ALL ELECTRIC CONTROLS HAVE TO BE SET @ ZERO OR OFF if switches. if running for two hours on gas and not getting cold sounds like you have a gas leak on the refrigerant side and the frig will have to be removed to repair and recharge it. Did You buy from a Dealer if so take it back and get him to fix it as he has sold you a product that is not doing what it was sold to do. if not sorry its up to you

If the fridge works on electric it will work on gas if you have a constant flame

electric control must be turned to off.if the gas burner is working then i guess its had it.theres not a lot you can do to fix them.check the burner is still operating when you release the valve and that it hasnt gone out.
