How can I access windows on my Toshiba Laptop?

Hi,

Please can you advise how to open windows on my Toshiba Laptop.

2 days ago I was using my laptop to view my hotmail account. Across the screen said 'hybanating' and then turned off.

I charged it for 2 days and I can not get in again. When I turn it on, it appears to be loading up and then a messages appears and the system becomes stuck.

The message reads:
The sytem could not be restarted from it's previous location due to a read failure. Delete restoration data and proceed to system boot menu.

Please help!

Try booting in "Safe Mode", It will either be F8 or F5 to select it when your laptop 1st starts up. Look at the bottom of the screen it should say, DEL to enter bios, F5 for safe mode, F8 network boot or something along those lines. This will allow it to start with the minimal amount of drivers.

Alternatively insert your copy of windows, and try again. if it doesnt start windows from the disc, enter bios, and change the boot sequence to boot from the disk drive 1st instead of the hard drive (HDD)
