Candy CIV 60 REVERSE ACTION - TUMBLES BUT NO HEAT - ANY IDEAS?

Dryer tumbles but only cold air , clean filter light is illuminated constantly although filter is clean- what brings this light on?and would that prevent thermostat from bringing in the heating element . Is there a reset somewhere , have had sheet metal cover off the back to expose heating element , there is a sensor here but no manual reset . Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks for your response.

As it turns out there is a 'thermal fuse' in series with the heater and situated in the hot air flow . This is a one shot fuse and was found to be open circuit. They are about 50p from RS components.

Could be a blocked vent hose but I suspect the overload is blown but as these are cheap replace it anyway and it should cure problem if it does not it could be a blown heater, sometimes there is another overload in the ducting on some makes.
