My wife's cmax is having a new alternator fitted at present (IF THE GARAGE CAN FIND ONE - APPARENTLY COULD TAKE 3 DAYS!)
It will take 2 hours to fit as the car was designed by people with three universal joints in their arms. The alternator on most cars lasts longer than the car - but not on a focus cmax!

I fitted an alternater today to a 2004 cmax 1.8 petrol, It took me about 3/4 of an hour start to finish.
