This appliance is brand new but did not come with manual. It is our first dishwasher and there are loose parts that we do not know what to do with.

You can get Manuals online from Bosch Home Appliances Website, Although the model you have given is not listed. They are all pretty much the same, find one like yours and see if it helps or maybe you did a typo in the question.
