my engine warning light is on. I TOOK THE CAR BACK TO THE GARAGE THEY SAID IT MIGHT BE DAMP? THEY PLUGGED IN A ELECTRICAL MACHINE AND THE LIGHT WENT OFF THEY SAID IT MIGHT COME BACK ON AGAIN AND IT HAS, I DONT KNOW WHAT THIS MEANS OR IF I SHOULD TAKE IT BACK OR IF IT IS SAFE TO DRIVE

I agree with Richard it's rubbish, damp! it would be on and off like a yo! yo! when it first hit the road if it was damp in our climate.

Was that garage a Peugeot dealership? if not I would suggest with an answer like damp you find a Peugeot one.
The machine sounds like a diagnostic machine which should have produced a print out showing the fault did you get one? even a clear no fault reading?

Hi being damp is a load of rubbish,that will not put the engine management light on im afraid.
The ecu has picked up a fault and they have not fixed it thats why the light has come back on.
