Potterton Performa 24i HE. DHW ok but CH not working?

This boiler had been switched to DHW duties only over the summer and autumn. Now I switch to CH&DHW the CH is not working . Controls are calling for heat, radiator neon is not lit and no alarms flashing. Was ok earlier in the year. Any ideas?

In reply to my own question, it appears to be down to problems with the diverter valve.
