I have an Aquarius Hotpoint Washing Machine that has completed a wash but the door release does not operate.

We have tried running a further cycle but that hasn't worked.

We have also tried powering down at the mains for at least 10 minutes.

I would love some further suggestions or some advice on how to poke around and further diagnose it. Thank you.

I did leave another message in the forum but when I read it back to myself I found it made no sense so I have done it again.

Try this, remove the top (3 screws at the back push lid back about an inch and lift off) Find the pressure switch (a round flat object with wires and a hose connected)should be by the timer, pull the hose off the switch, if it clicks then the pressure chamber is blocked.The door will now release but you will have to unblock the pressure chamber which is at the front of the drum and involves removing the front panel.
