grinding noise?

my tumble dryer has started making a grinding noise. I think there may be something caught. can i get at it to check?

Hi Joan, the noise you refer to is probably the felt bearing gone and if you keep using it as is the drum will wear out which will ruin the dryer, this is not a user servicable part and needs to be repaired by an engineer ASAP.
