How can i tell if my cylinder head joint has gone on my rover metro

check you water bottle for oil, check you oil for a milky looking substance, and check you oil cap for the same
but beware as rovers are notorious for headgaskets, dont use a cheap aftermarket make as they are crap, also dont use a genuine rover one as they are also crap !!!
